Fleet Week 2023 Extra Service 

San Francisco Bay Ferry will be offering extra service for Fleet Week 2023 on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8. Extra departures and expanded schedules will be in place in anticipation for higher ridership. Extra ferry service will include: 

  • Extra departures on the Oakland & Alameda ferry route. 
  • Extra departures on the Vallejo ferry route. 
  • A special scenic trip between Richmond and Downtown S.F. 
  • An expanded Pier 41 Short Hop schedule.

Ferry service will operate on normal weekday schedules from Monday, October 2 through Friday, October 6. The below special schedules will be in effect on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8. 

Richmond Scenic

PLEASE NOTE: We expect the Richmond Scenic to reach capacity early on Sunday. Only 331 passengers can make the trip. The queue reached that length at approximately 2 PM on Saturday. Be advised that service is first come, first served.

A brand new pilot route – the Richmond Scenic – will be offered for the first time on both Saturday and Sunday.

This trip leaves from the Richmond Ferry Terminal at 3 PM. It will take a more leisurely route to the Downtown San Francisco Ferry Terminal, with close views of Angel Island, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge before landing in San Francisco at 4 PM. Great views of the Fleet Week Air Show and a cool bay breeze are on offer with this trip, too.

The Richmond Scenic is first come, first served and may hit maximum capacity, so we encourage passengers to arrive to Richmond early. Normal Richmond fares via Clipper or the San Francisco Bay Ferry app will apply. After landing in Downtown S.F., all passengers will be required to clear the vessel. Ferries back to Richmond will depart at 4:30 PM, 6 PM and 8:10 PM from Gate F.
